INTERMEDIATE SCULPTRA AESTHETIC COURSE

With a Compact Nursing License or other UTAH license (PA, NP, or MD), providers can receive hands-on experience during this course. If you cannot get licensed in Utah, you are still welcome to attend this in-person training as an observer. This intermediate Sculptra aesthetic course will provide an overview of safely and effectively performing various Sculptra reconstitution methods in the temples, midface, and jaw. Our experienced trainer will instruct providers on patient selection, anatomy, various Sculptra reconstitution methods, and complication management. Models for this training will be provided.

Injectable poly-L-lactic acid or Sculptra Aesthetic helps rebuild and replace the lost collagen in the skin and stimulates gradual restoration of the collagen scaffolding. Restoration of the collagen structure in the skin creates a subtle, refined decrease of fine lines and wrinkles.

Sculptra Aesthetic is FDA approved to plump up shallow to deep nasolabial folds, contour deficiencies, and other facial wrinkles. In addition, injections of Sculptra Aesthetic can help restore temples and the tops of the nasolabial folds. Sculptra Aesthetic is also an excellent dermal filler that doesn’t leave patients looking like they have had filler injections. However, Sculptra Aesthetic takes time to trigger collagen, and the results of Sculptra Aesthetic injections do take time to show results.

The goal of this course is to:

• Discuss the goals and purpose of Sculptra Aesthetic
• Understand the best areas of treatment for Sculptra Aesthetic. These areas include cheeks, nasolabial folds, jawline and temples, and melomental folds
• Understand the prep and reconstitution of Sculptra Aesthetic
• Learn patient assessment and selection process and how to perform patient consultation regarding Sculptra Aesthetic
• Understand the injection technique0
• Learn Sculptra’s indications and contraindications
• Learn the pre-care and post-care plus side-effects from Sculptra Aesthetic
• Talk about anesthesia techniques to provide comfort to the patient.
