BEGINNER NEUROMODULATOR COURSE

Welcome to Ruma’s Beginner Neuromodulator Course. If you have a nursing, nurse practitioner degree or you are a physician’s assistant, physician, or dentist; you can receive hands-on experience during this course. If you cannot get licensed in Utah, you are still welcome to attend this in-person training as an observer. This beginner’s neuromodulator course is an entry into safely learning how to inject Botox and Dysport into various face areas. Our experienced trainer will instruct providers on basic anatomy, various techniques, various toxin reconstitutions, and complication management. You will learn from Ruma’s trainer injecting live models with exact instructions and directions. Models for this training will be provided.

Ruma provides participants with hands-on knowledge to inject neuromodulators with safe and effective techniques. You will also understand the anatomy of the face and the best areas to inject neuromodulators.

Once you have finished this course, you should be able to:

• Know what the FDA approved neuromodulator products are and explain the mechanism and duration
• Discuss reconstitution devices for injection and the common uses of each neuromodulator product
• Know facial muscles and understand the difference between elevator and depressor muscles
• Describe supplies used to inject
• Explain the contraindications, precautions, and post-care
• Know the proper management of complications associated with using a neuromodulator
• Describe, discuss, and demonstrate injection techniques of neuromodulator products.
